My cry for help

:think Well, I havent posted in a long long time, shame on me. I have had very good success being banded almost a year. I have lost 140lbs. Ok, here is the catch. I am miserable. Dont get me wrong the new body that I am seeing is wonderful ( hubby doesnt mind either). However, 8 out of 10 times that I try to eat lately I almost always can not keep it down. If I drink too late at night like a sip before bedtime, I end up choking on it in my sleep( let me tell ya that is pleasant).I have tried to really push the protien but now I am so constipated I am in tears. I dont know what to do. I am in no way regretting my decision to have this band placed I am just confused and concerned. I think part of my problem is that my nerves have been shot about the last 2 months. We have moved with the military from New Mexico to Alabama and it has been the move from hell. Pre banded when my nerves were shot it would effect my stomach, so I am figuring why not now too just in a different way? I am trying desperatly to find a doctor in SOuthern Alabama even possibly in Florida. Not much luck yet. I dunno, should I be worried that something is terrible wrong with me? I do not want to lose my band. I have only had one fill since my surgery and no more. I think maybe an unfill might help my situation???? If anyone has any ideas please please please share.

You've done so well with the weight loss, please give the unfill a chance to help you heal what ever the problem is.

Good Luck and big hugs!

I've been banded just over a year, too, and for the most of the year I was at 1.2cc's. It was fine but then here recently I've been PB'ing every day and often several times a day. So I just went in for a slight unfill, I am now at 1.0cc's.

I guess I'm saying is...don't think that's weird that now you need an unfill. Just get it taken care of!

I would suspect, personally, that it may also have to do with where you live now. I grew up in New Mexico and know it's very, very dry. Where you are now is more humid. I suspect your body might be hanging on to more Water which would make you feel more tight.

Also...do not underestimate how much stress will cause your band to feel tighter.

So happy to hear you are calling doctors. I think you'll be on the way in no time!!

Post back and let us know how you do!

I know that I have a ton more restriction when my allergies are acting up (like right now). I am going for a slight unfill tomorrow. I was tighter last fall too, I think my mold allergy seems to make a huge difference. I think it has something to do with mucus, swelling and my sinuses. ~Mandy
