Oct 9Th Anyone?

Hi everyone. I just got my surgery date of Oct 9th. Any surgery day buddies out there? I'm scared and excited. It doesn't seem real right now because its taken so long to get an actual date. I decided to pursue this about a year ago and because of my insurance requirements it has taken a while. But I am scheduled and excited for this tool that will help me to finally be the person I am inside.

Just checking in-how is everyone doing? I have surprisingly little pain, just some twinges here and there but have no energy. I am getting in my fluids and protein. I need to stop weighing myself because I haven't lost a pound this week-I lost 9 between Tuesday and Sunday then nothing.

I'm still having struggle getting protein in, but other than that little discomfort sometimes but nothing I can't handle, I still get spasms in my stomach when I eat which hurt bad! And with the weight, I know how u feel, I lost 8lbs since surgery which was in the last 4-5 days of surgery and then nothing, it's annoying and stressful!!! But my dr said its normal right now! So I'm trying to stay away from scale. He said just worry about nutrition. But hopefully I lose more soon!

Glad to hear from you ;) how do your spasms feel?

I believe they are spasms I mean because I'm eating lol what else are they,

They're not as frequent but now I'm dealing with a possible incision infection:(

I am also struggling to get my fluids in. I have felt great and almost back to normal. I also had a possible incision infection but my surgeon cleaned it out yesterday and it seems much better now. As far as the scale, I'm down 9 lbs since the morning of surgery. Today it hurt a bit when I drank anything so I hope it feels better tomorrow. We have to stay strong and get through these few challenging days so we can reap the rewards of this surgery. We can do it!

Ok dropped 2more pounds and learned my lesson-I only need to weigh once a week. It is weird but my stomach feels different this morning-almost tighter.
