is their a correlation between nursing and obesity? in our defense it's all those long hours and fast eating. i can eat faster than anyone in my family. i am doing dishes when they are still salting and buttering??? their food. my husband tells me its not a contest.i guess it's habit because i keep thinking i am going to have to stop and triage so i have to hurry. hope the band puts a stop to that. :sick jackye

Intresting about the correlation of nurses and being overweight.

I was at an in-service last week and i looked around and wispered into my friends ear. . "this place is a lapband surgens dream"

I think it's because we take care of everyone else, and don't make time or save energy for ourselves. I am a med/surg/tele/imc RN. We think we are always supposed to be the strong ones, and aren't so good at letting someone else be strong for us. We will however let food be a comfort. And yes we eat fast food fast... we OFTEN get called away from what few breaks we try to take...
