Ok guys, I've been experiencing some chest pains so I went to the doctor and he said he has 4 other patients that have had wls that have heart issues also, this news really disturbed me because this is a really small office. Has anyone else had heart problems since their surgery?

I don't think one has anything to do with the other. I don't believe that the WLS is causing heart problems, rather keep in mind people having WLS are obese and may already have heart related co-morbidities.

Just my 2 cents...

that seems logical. as I can't imagine why a surgery would give you heart issues, unless it's a warning sign that something else is going on...but I'm not a doctor so I don't know....

I have a heart condition, and that was one of my main concerns. My surgeon and cardiologist assured me they would take every extra precautions. There will be a cardiology team on board, and they will place some type of tube in neck in case of emergency. I am just going to pray and put everything is the Lord here to God search insane
