Just an update on me. I had my first appointment with NeWeigh on Thursday, 9/7/06 and have an appointment scheduled for this coming Thursday 9/14/06 with Dr. Jay. They said I will be watching a video of the types of surgeries and then actually meeting with the doctor afterwards. The first appointment was just to get all of my medical history and information. They said I would be given a prescription for some tests to be done (labs and things) and that I should have them done right away since United Health Care approves pretty quickly. It was nice to hear that approval may happen. That's where I stand at the moment. After reviewing all the posts and things online I've decided to do the lapband. My husband didn't like the idea of my anatomy inside being reconstructed. I'm sure the doctor will advise what's the best one for me. Thank you all for your kind words and support. !
