Esophageal Spasms Before Surgery

I tend to have some esophageal spasms fairly often, which tells me I need to be on a proton pump inhibitor, but just have not addressed it with my doc yet. Just curious to know if any of you have had to have your esophagus dialated before or after your surgery? Has anyones doc done the procedure along with the sleeve?
