Day 9, Egd Day, Fasted, Now Resilience Is Down

Today is day 9 of my pre-op diet, and I've been doing very good. Not cheated at all. Today I had to fast for my EGD and got to start eating about 12:30pm, so got behind on my bariatric advantage shakes, I've had about 500 calories today and none of my diet food sounds good. I just want like a grilled chicken breast or something, nothing crazy, nothing with sugar or carbs, I just want some flavor in my mouth. :(

Are you mixing your shakes with anything? What flavors of shakes do you have?

Mixing with fat free Lactaid milk, I have chocolate and vanilla, and flavored sugar free syrups to mix into the vanilla.

Personally, I preferred fruit to the syrup. Mixing half a banana into either flavor will make you feel fuller and more satisfied. The syrups just made me.... restless. It's too fake, I think. Try half a banana or a handful of fruit and see if that doesn't satisfy you a bit better.

Just remember that sticking to your diet now will make your recovery much, much, much easier! It's worth it.
