Happy Frustration!

I bought a really nice pair of size 16 jeans in Dillards the month before I had my surgery as I thought when I get into them I will truly believe I have made a real change in my life post Gastric sleeve. I tried them on 2 weeks ago... still to tight to button up...this morning I saw them hanging in my closet and thought I would give them another try...I was thrilled and frustrated that they not only buttoned but were now too big! I really had thought these jeans would be a pair I would wear at least a few weeks or months. I honestly cannot believe they are too big, especailly in the legs and butt! Not complaining just shocked at how much our bodies can change in such a short time! Im sure all of us have had some little milestone oddiites too! I believe the VS surgery is amazing!

That is awesome! Congrats! I wouldn't fork out the big bucks for clothes until you reach your goal :)

Congratulations! I had similar experiences too! Thrift stores are your friend!!!

Isn't it amazing? Good job! I have a dress hanging in the closet I hope to use for a job interveiw but if they don't get the lead out and get the job posted I'll have to take it back and find something else to wear! The joys of a sleeve!

That same thing happened to me; I purchased some clothes on sale right after surgery that I thought would make great back-to-school clothes (I was sleeved in April of last year) in what I thought at the time was a dream size, 18 (I started in a super tight 26/28); by the time it was time to wear them, they were all too big!! Now I know I have to try everything on or buy online only from vendors whose sizing system I'm really familiar with, because things change really fast.... odd how 3X had a huge weight range, but 14 to 12 is a matter of 10 to 15 pounds' difference. :-)

Ah, well, that's what Ebay is for.
