going for first fill

Hello fellow banders. I had my lap band surgery 7/10/06, in South Nassau Hospital, NY. I'm going for my first fill on friday 9/1/06. I already lost about 22lbs. clothes fit better and people are starting to notice. It's a nice feeling. I was wondering about the first fill. Will I be restricted as I was when the band was first put in? In the last week or so, I felt as if I could eat much more. (if i eat very slow) but I don't want that opportunity. Any infor will help. Thanks:o

I was banded 7/19/06. I had my first fill today 8/28/06.

Yes I feel restricted just like at first.

The fill was just like getting a quick shot. Other then feeling "the shot" , it was painless.

I wont go into details about the food but my signal to quit came very quickly into my evening "feeding" lol.

Going to be a good losing week.

It depends. Are your adjustments done with flouroscopy? If so, then the doctor can be more precise about getting you the level of restriction you want. They have you drink some stuff and they watch to see how quickly it flows through the band, then they can adjust from there.
