Caring For My Pet

I have a five year old active poodle. He lives to play and cuddle. I'm wondering if i should board him for the first few days after the surgery. Any ideas?

I personally would not. From what I've read you will be doing a lot of walking after surgery to avoid blood clots. What better walking companion than your own dog. Plus, I'm sure there are ways you could satisfy your dogs active needs without injuring yourself.

I didn't board my chihuahua. I let her walk with me (off the leash) because we're supposed to walk a lot. But if she requires more than just that, you may want to board. My puppy was great comfort cuddling with me after surgery though!!
