Bmi

hi,

I was denied during my first attempt to get approved for the sleeve. My bmi was just below 40. I have been over weight most of my life and of course I lose weight (not much) & gain it right back.

So, my question is.. can my surgeon update my bmi to 40 since I've gained weight before my coordinator files my appeal? If possible, will it help?

thanks much,

denise :)

Do you have any of the co-morbid diseases...(high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes)? I know that will definitely help the approval process. And it's not difficult to get high cholesterol...wink wink! (I know that's bad)...! lol.

I had a lower BMI but I had a diagnosis of diabetes and high chloreterol. I was approved and loving my sleeve! :)

haha! like that one Chrissy! I just took a cholesterol test and it was fine. I have sleep apnea, GERD, and had gestational diabetes with my last baby who is a year old now.

thank you :)
