Lap Band Show?

I was sitting here watching TV...and then this show came on...actually it was more like an infomercial. It was all about the lap band..how its done..and some people on that had it done.

My issue is...every person they showed...had lost over 150 pounds. Is this realistic? or are they making false promises?? They seemed to glide over any issues..just focused on how you will magicly loose the weight with no work. They actually compare it to GBP. They give a website to go to..LapBandShow.com. I went to the website....I dunno why it urked me so much...but it did. :(

It really does bother me when I see these infomercials and the shorter ones too, I mean, eventhough it's much safe than RnY it is still major surgery and shouldn't be simplified by a advertisement. "Haven't been able to loose that weight? Just try out our surgery...." I mean I know I have been a victim of lose weight fast schemes and this kind of plays into that on the television, eventhough it is a legitimate weight loss TOOL, it's not a quick fix as it appears on the TV! OK, done venting! WHEW! :(
