Egd Endoscopy

Hi all!

I just had the endoscopy. My throat is a little sore but overall I feel fine. Initially i was super nervous but I'm glad it's all over.

Feel free to ask me any questions regarding the procedure!

I have mine on the 4th so I have a couple of questions. Did you have a local anesthetic or did they put you under? How long did the entire process take? Any recovery time?

Thanks for sharing!

They put me under - general. The actual procedure only takes 5-10 minutes but they wanted me to get to the hospital 1.5 early. They allow you to sleep for 30min after the procedure. Then they give you juice and crackers and your on your way home! My throat is sore but it isn't that bad.
