I have Cigna also. I had to do the 6 month diet, but it was so worth it! I did everything they asked for and was approved very quickly! I'm now 5 almost 6 weeks post op, and have lost 39 pounds and 4

Congrats and good luck to you also. Keep me posted. I am 25 pounds down since January

That's awesome! Are you just letting the surgery work or have you been exercising? I hate exercising. That's the only thing that worries me.

No surgery yet just required diet by the insurance company

Thanks everyone! Going to see the NUT today... Still waiting to hear from my HR dept to see if Cigna did change from 6 months to 3.... I called Cigna and it seemed like u was speaking a foreign language.... It felt like I knew more about their policy than they did.... Ugh!

Go on my Cigna.com and search for bariatric requirements and it is there.

This is very good news. I went in May 29th and they said that I would need 6 months of NUT but they may be able to get me in by December and it would cost me less because I've already met my deductible and have used some of my out-of-pocket already. Now maybe I can get it in September or October and not have to stress about whether there is enough coverage at work on the holidays for me to be out a week or more.
