Crackers

Ok so I stayed home from work today because I felt horrible in the morning (have my period). I've been so bored all day and I've found myself snacking... Mostly healthy like chicken breast or fruit or Greek yogurt... But then I had about 7 saltine crackers. I know I did it out of boredom and head hunger... I have food in the house that I'm supposed to eat... But I couldn't make myself stop! Now I'm completely full

I guess what I'm asking is is it ok to mess up every now and then?

Of course it is! We are not perfect. Thank goodness our sleeve stops us from messing up too badly. It's just too bad that there are so many slider foods that the sleeve lets us really pig out on, if that is what we choose to do. My downfall is ice cream. I would do just fine if my husband who can eat anything he wants, would not bring it home!

oh i can top you... i have had cookies and m and ms and pretzles and other treats over the last week. i am 5 weeks out and all of a sudded i just dont care. i suppose tht it couled be because of the 3 week stall but....i think also i have personal frustrations wiht life and i am bored too. especially at work,.

Oh my goodness Oregondaisy - that's my big fear! Ice cream is my downfall too and I also have a husband who can eat anything. This morning I told him that he really needs to just keep it out of the house!

The 3 week stall??? Serious? Maybe this is what happened to me.

Yup- we all fall prey to the carb every now and then.... dont sweat it and hit the gym for an extra 20 min..

I was dying for a pretty lunch- a proper lunch where it wasnt all turkey bacon and tuna salad and cheeses and..... anyways- so I bought the Wasa crackers and that helped me get the crunch and it works as a dipping cracker too!

They are about the size of a graham cracker but are as basic as a cracker can get, not a whole lot of artificial flavors here. I get the whole wheat flavor (10g carbs/cracker) and top it with swiss cheese and a scoop of chicken/tuna salad and call that my lunch. It looks like a normal lunch- so co workers wont pry and is darn filling. A big plus is since they dont taste like Club butter crackers or wheathins, you wornt eat the whole freakin box! :)

Thank you guys for posting and being understanding. I have had the same downfalls. Head hunger and self defeating eating. Is sucks so much. I need help. Food is my addiction.

Wasa Lite rye Crispbread crackers will become your friends. Not that many calories or carbs. Use them just as you would saltines or bread. Also trader Joes has the small round rice crackers in a bag that are sooo good too.
