I am researching and gathering information, I have pretty much come to the conclusion that I will never be able to afford this surgery in the US, but am nervous about going to Tijuana... anyone on here from my area who has already been through this that can help me?

I am not from your area (I live in Texas). But I just returned from having surgery with Dr. Ponce De Leon in Tijuana Mexico. I had a wonderful experience and could not be happier. Dr. Ponce is super experienced and is amazing at what he does. I would definetly go again. I went alone, to save money on air fair and I had a wonderful coordinator who was with me whenever I needed her, plus I had sleeve sisters/brothers who also where there for me (along with their companions). September 25. I think there are a few people from Portland on here. Congrats! I can't wait to be sleeved. How are you feeling about your decision?

I am nervous but it just feels right. I know it's the best choice for me and that the time is now.
