What is on your doctor's plan? You should have received something telling you what stages to follow. If you're on mushies, you can have mashed. If you're still on liquids, you probably can't. But, some doctors do consider mashed to be okay on full liquids. .Best advice? Call your doc or nut.

I am 10 days post op and on mushy phase. According to my doctor 's plan I can have mashed or soft boil potatoes. I would ask the doctor first though

The mushy stage sucks, but there are so many other things to eat than mashed potatoes. Stay away from anything white especially potatoes. Substitute sweet potatoes, acorn or butternut squash. Eggface has a lot of recipes for Protein ice cream, you can eat it for a meal.

Believe me if you start eating carbs now you will regret it going forward.

If you want to learn more tips and tricks from an 8 month-er that has learned a lot send me a message. I am also a skype coach that helps with menu planning and support via phone, skype and in person here in Tampa.
