I had my surgery on Dec. 15, 2005 and have lost 66 lbs. I started at 250 and am 184 now. I have gone from a size 22 to as size 15-16. So far, I have had no major issues with my band, and I am very grateful for being able to have the surgery done. It has saved me from my self.

I had my surgery on December 9th, so far I have lost about 25kg (50 something pounds), which is a tad over 65% of my excess weight.

I'm still losing but very slowly now. I want to lose another 15kg.

Wish I could say I've had as much success as you all but alas I've only lost 31 pounds. I had no restriction for the longest time but I just got restriction from my last fill and I'm learning to eat and chew, chew chew. I had my first PB last week and since then I've had two of them, and wow are they ever an eye opener as far as my eating habits.

I have to say I went into this band with such high hopes and was so dissapointed almost from the start, but I really think it was becaause I had no restriction and It was as if I never had the band. Hopefully now things will start changing for me and next time I post I'll have lost more.

It looks like everyone has done a wonderful job. Don't worry Tootarts, once you get good restriction, the should come off quicker and eaiser. Try not to get discouraged and have faith that this will work for you. Besides, those PB's are nothing to mess with :-)

I have been waiting for a thread like this, just so I could talk to people that are going thru the same things at or around the same times. I look forward to talking to you all.

I had a fill last Wednesday and I am just starting to feel some restriction. Hopefully it will continue.

I havent achieved really good restriction yet either, but I think I can work with what I have. It means for me I have to use my willpower to actually lose but when that fails, I dont actually gain kind of thing. So my weight is coming off in spurts as I'm really good for a few weeks and then there'll a run of outings, celebrations etc and I'm not so good and wont lose. But I dont gain like I used to.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
