Recommended Posts

My NUT does not want me to drink Protein Shakes after the first few months. She said that it's because she wants us to have regular diets. There are ways of getting around Protein shakes but I've found in the beginning, as we can only eat so much, that it's the easiest. The Vitamins are forever from what I've been able to gather.

Hi there. My surgeon specifically told me that once my I'm done with my post op restrictions, he wants me on 3 meals a day, solid food. He's been adamant about this since the beginning. The more liquids you drink, the hungrier you'll feel, after a short time. Solids keep you fuller longer. I can't wait to get off this shake and mushy diet. 2 more weeks.

As for the Vitamins, I take 2 Multivitamin chewables, and 2 Calcium chews per day. Not too bad.

I take Multivitamins twice a day, Calcium twice a day, Iron once a day, and B12 once a day. It's tough keeping it all straight but I keep one of those big pill cases and put all of my pills for a week in there. This way I can make sure I actually take my Vitamins.< /p>

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
