I everyone! I really need your help. I have felt fantastic pretty much from day 1 since my surgery 3 weeks ago. Up until now I'm getting a bit depressed and am finding it hard to cope. I have advanced so quickly in my progress that I pretty much came out of hospital eating regular foods. It hurt if the peices were too big bit I chewed really well and in small amounts. It seems now I have gone a bit backwards. No matter how much I chew food seems to hurt going down and those shakes are far too sweet for me and make me fill I'll beyond belief! Food also makes me feel really nauseated to the point where I can't function, I feel weak and I need to lay down. Im seeing my surgeon tomorrow but I just want to know if there's anyone else out there who can relate to this and what they did to calm things down? I hate food at the moment!

What about eating yogurt or Soups. Your stomach has just had major surgery and is in need of a break maybe purée some food. Your tummy will feel better. ;)

I think you should go back to the basics, full liquids and just try to let your stomach heal a little longer... take it easy, you will make it and we're all here for you.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
