I am really worried about insurance. They are considering me to have a pre-existing condition. So I am out of this stage in June of this year. But they say it's because I may have been treated by someone else prior to having insurance coverage with BCBSIL. I haven't had health insurance since I was in high school. So once I got insurance, I started my journey toward the surgery. Anyone else have this problem too? And what did you go through? I haven't had my information sent in for insurance approval yet, but I am scared that this will be a wall that blocks me.

You have BCBSIL? As of Feb 1 they are no longer requiring a six month wait. I was approved for surgery four months into my six month wait because of the policy change. Do a search for "BCBSIL" on the insurance forum for more ino.
