What To Buy- Mushies

Hi Guys,

As I mentioned in a previous post, I am having my VSG with Doctor Pomp on Thursday of next week. As this is my last weekend prior to surgery, I am trying to put together a final list of what I need so I can then relax into the week. Therefore, I was hoping that some of you would not mind giving me some tips on what to buy for the mushy stage (post op) of the diet. I have a sweet tooth and am not a great fan of cottage cheese etc. What has worked well for you?

Thank you so much for your support.

sugar free applesauce, SF popsicles and Jello, refried Beans in a can, canned chicken and tuna (can be blended). Little cans of everything because you won't eat more than an ounce or two of anything probably. I bought some tiny bowls to eat out of, the kind that they use for dip at a restarant. I also bought a few pretty china saucers and baby spoons and forks to help me eat small amounts. Tiny containers for leftovers.

There are a couple of pinned threads about what to take to the hospital and what to buy for after surgery that might be helpful. Do a site search for those and it should help.

Good luck!! :)

Lissa,

Thank you so much for your response. I bought tons of stuff today, including tiny bowls and cutlery and finally feel prepared! Onwards and downwards!
