Hello all! I just had a quick question about the magnesium citrate we have to take the day before surgery to clean us out.

How long does it take to start "working" and how long did it keep going after it started?

I have a lot I want to get done tomorrow and I am trying to plan on how long I might have to tether myself to the bathroom before I can clean it.

I think it took me an hour or so to start working. I think it last for me a couple hours only, I was not all night in the bathroom,thanks god lol

Good deal. This may be an odd question, but did you see any weight loss with it? The pharmacist said it could be 2-4 lbs depending on what is cleaned out. I have already dropped 19 during the liquid pre-op and to lose over 20 would be amazing! Lol

I don't know if lost weight with the citrate ,I did not weight myself after and they did not weight me in the day of my surgery which was the next day =)
