  • I participate in another forum where there are a lot of RNY veterans. I've yet to find any who regret having the surgery, and I think it's completely possible to live a happy and healthy life with RN

  • I love, love, LOVE Sleevina!!! She's one of the best things that's ever happened to me.. Iike the fact that I don't feel deprived or hungry!!

I've been very happy with my sleeve. The first 10 weeks were awful, but even when I was feeling horrible and shaky and dizzy and nauseous I was still extremely happy with my decision and would do it again in a heartbeat. I continue to have success with the sleeve, it's absolutely hands down the best thing I have ever done for myself.

I can tell you this, I'm happy I got the sleeve... over the moon happy!! That said, in relation to getting the sleeve over bypass, I will never know because I only have the sleeve. I would not be against having the bypass or the DS in the future if I really needed to.

If you are on the fence about both, the best thing to do is:

Pull out a sheet of paper and do pro's and con's on both. List your co-morbidities and use that as a guide map on your final decision.

Good luck!!

I am 100% happy with my decision, zero regrets, would do it again in a heartbeat!

That being said, I think everyone has to do what is best for them and no matter what WLS you choose, PUT THE TIME, EFFORT, ENERGY and FOCUS into making it work for you. Learn the rules of your tool and use whatever tool you choose to the best of your ability!
