2nd Fill - feels like I can eat anything!

Can anyone help? :help:

I had my second fill on Saturday. It was so full I couldn't even keep Water down and had to have a little bit taken out. I was on liquids all weekend and then back to normal. I was hoping for a bit of restriction but I feel I can eat alot. I thought I would be full after a few spoonfuls! Does it take an amount of time to kick in??

Please let me know your experiences.

Thanks

Jen

Well - here's where I am a bit fickle. I enjoy my food and no I don't think I would be satisfied with just a few spoonfuls - but I also want to feel some restriction otherwise what would be the point in having the band in the first place! I guess I am looking for something in the middle!!

What size band do you have and how much fill did you get on #1 and #2? I had no restriction on fill #1, some on #2 but got to proper restriction for me on fill #3 (total of 6.5 cc's in a 10 cc band). I get the signal when I am full and KNOW it's time to stop.

What you experienced on fill #2 was the swelling from the inflation. Now that the swelling has subsided and you can eat anything, it sounds like you need a third fill. Some people don't have a fill "kick-in" for 1-2 weeks but that was not the case for me.

Call and schedule fill #3.

Hi,

Thanks for your informative post. I have a 4 ml Inamed Band. First fill was 1.5ml. Second fill was 1ml - then he took out 0.3ml. Total now 2.2ml - so over half full. I'm hoping that I get the "kick in" soon - I can't afford another fill just yet!!
