Hi, Im In Tucson and have Questions.. Help

Hi everyone,

I am very new at this and am hoping someone can give me some advise...

I work for TUSD and the insurance is changing to Cigna. I dont have any information about it quite yet. It goes into effect in Sept. I really have my heart set on having the Lap Band surg. done. It seems as though I have to go thru phx at the St Lukes Med Center. Has anyone gone thru them? Is it difficult to do this? How long does the process take? Is Cigna Kind? Any answers that you can help me with would be more than appreciated.

Thank you a Huge amount in advance..

Sincerley

Hi,

I was banded this year - in Phoenix, I live in Tucson. I went though Dr. Simpson in Phoenix. That is all he does - he has done hundreds of lap-bands. I am very happy with him & his staff. They do work with insurance. But, sadly I am with Blue Cross/Blue Shied & they will not pay for lap-band in Arizona. But - Dr. Simpson & crew are great. I hope this helps.
