Pre-op Tests

Hi everyone,

I have a question for all those who had to pay for the cost of your pre-op tests. About how much did you have to pay for everything? My health insurance won't cover it, so I'm trying to get an estimate of my expenses. I know that it will be different from state to state, but all answers are appreciated.

Thanks!

What kind of pre-op tests? If they are the standard labs, EKG, etc, I can't imagine why the insurance won't pay for them. My insurance has a specific exclusion for WLS, but they paid for the labs, EKG, AND they paid for the surgeries I had before and after for the installation and removal of a filter in my Vena Cava.

Good luck!! :)

I'm talking about the standard labs. I have a high deductible insurance plan (10K), that won't cover anything until this large amount is met. Crazy, I know.
