I contacted him through his patient coordinator Rosie rosantinaflores@yahoo.com, then four months ago he banded my sister since then she has lost 75 lbs, and is doing great. Shes so much happier and she feel great. Dr Alvarez is located in Piedras Negras, Coahuila, Mexico. its across the border from eagle pass, TX. He studied in Monterrey Mex. and specialized in Paris. Hes really a good Dr. Are you banded?

Im sorry you feel this way, but i have to tellyou you are wrong. Dr. Alvarez banded my sister 4 months ago, since then she has lost 75 lbs. and ive seen her transformation both phisicaly and emotionally. We are so happy for her that I just wanted to spread some of that happiness around, sorry if I ofended you that was not my intention. But he is a amazing Dr. And you can google him and see for your self.

I deleted my post questioning you about being a doctor's rep or patient coordinator. Please understand my concern. It can be so hard to know who to trust when researching surgeons. Sorry if I came on too strong in my questioning.

Hi,

I had a bad experience with Dr. Alvarez's clinic and would not recommend him. I think his numbers are fixed. I dont believe that a doctor that just barely graduated about a year ago, could rack up 1200+ surgeries, as he claims. Also, I could not find him in the American College of Surgeons website, despite the association being listed as a credential. I contacted his "patient coordinator" Rosie and she was very nice. But the Doc told me that she was a mere driver and had no business giving out info. So I dont know what the deal with that is.

I'll tell you another thing. I posted links to sites where readers could go and checkout the credentials of Mexican doctors. I was contacted by one of Dr. Alverezes patient and told that I should not be listing such links. She said I was in need of psychiatric help because I posted my research online. The whole thing left a bad taste in my mouth.

If you do use this doc, try to negotiate a good price because his people quote a different price every time you call. I was quoted prices from $7400 to $6500.
