Trick or Treating

Hi fellow October sleevers, this is for those of you who have already had the surgery. My surgery is on Oct 27. I really want to know if you guys think I'll be able to do a little trick or treating with my kiddos??? I love Halloween and taking the kids out is my favorite. Let me know what you all think. Thanks so much!

I think you will be able to make a few houses with the kids. On my 4th day post op I flew from San Diego to Houston and walked and walked in the airport...I was exhausted, but did it. I could walk down my street that same day and pass by about 12 houses.

Wow. Were u able to walk before the sleeve?

It is right around the corner for you! Hey, I am 5 days post-op and have been taking three 1/4 mile walks a day for the last 3 days- per orders of my surgeon. It helps move the air in your tummy, and prevents DVT's. So, as long as you don't have any complications, go in short stretches, and don't carry anything heavy ( like the kids!) you should be fine! Hope that helps, and have fun. Rebecca

I think you will definitely be able to do at least some. My mom drug me all over the mall when I was 3 days out and I did fine, but I was really exhausted by the time I got home.
