Hey JUDE048!

Get it...hey Jude!!!! *humming the Beatles song*.

I thought I would start ya a new thread to give you some encouragement!

YOU can do this! Don't worry...it WILL happen...it just takes longer to get going for some people. I was stuck for awhile too...and like Argon, I'm losing a pound here and a pound there (over several weeks!). So, don't lose hope. Just keep on doing what you're supposed to and it WILL pay off.

Patience my friend!

Hi guys!

Well here is an update and I am posting with my head down and much shame!!!!!!!!

This morning got on the scales to wiegh for the challenge on Coburn/Mumford site and I was right back up there - all that I lost the other morning is back!

I was right up another 5 1/2 lbs!

So Jude hangs her head in shame!!!

I saw my PCP this week - had bloodwork done - he cut back my thyroid medication by .05. He said my free T4 was too high. I asked what affect this higher amount would have on my weight loss - he replied "well it should have increased it"!!!!!!!! YEAH RIGHT!!!!!! So why have I gained 7 lbs??????????????

There is no change in intake - well perhaps there is - I have felt that I can not eat as much since the fil - it is taking waaaaayyyyyyyy longer to eat a meal. 45 mins in not unusual. I have to eat small bites and chew chew chew. By the end of the meal I am tired and bored of eating! grins!

My cals yesterday were 1037 with 62 grams of Protein.

So I am here "totally do not understand what is going on".

jude

oh jade, I feel terrible. I don't even know what to tell you. I can't imagine how frustrating this must be. Maybe take a day to get angry and upset, then first thing monday morning get on the phone and call your doc, the surgeon, any specialist, inlist everyone to get to the bottom of this. It can't NOT happen, but how frustrating is this!!

Ok guys - checking in!

I AM losing again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But don't ask me how I am doing it because YOU DON'T WANNA KNOW!!!!!:faint: :faint: :faint: :faint: :faint: :faint: :faint:

jude

 Jude, Jude, Jude, you can't leave us hanging:ear:. But if it's healthy, I'm happy for you:) .

AHEM...

yo...Jude....if ya know whats good for ya, you'll tell us!!!! *smacks fist into palm*....

better be healthy, girl!

HEY JUDE, Don't be afraid take a sad saga about weight loss and make it better...tell us or I will creat more lyrics to that song about ya and you'll have to put up with it. Now come on, say uncle and give!

I moved my computer today and the network card wouldn't reset itself so I had to wait for my DS to come home and set it back up again.

I have committed the ultimate bandster sin!

SSSSSSSHHHHHHHHHH! No one better rat on me or I will jump up and down and scream bloody murder!

:speechles :speechles :speechles :speechles

for 4 days now I have been eating as follows:

breakfast: coffee 2 or 3

lunch: Optifast

dinner: optifast + bowl of veggies or salad

otherwise only Water / crystal light :speechles :speechles :speechles :speechles

Do you think that anyone overheard me??? especially at Dr. C's office??? If Marie finds out I will be in huge trouble. But I knew that I lost pre-op and I knew I would again so that is what I did.

I might have to do this for the duration - until I lose the weight I want to. It means a total calorie intake daily of ...............well you do the math. Today I didn't even get in the 2nd opti because I was doing a super cleaning on my house.

Now I will be waiting for all the "lashes"!

Enough! Enough! 40 Lashes is Enough!!!!!

jude

Hey Kim,

Once banded it is very frowned on to do liquids. The opti-fast is a liquid Protein that I took pre-op and lost weight while on it.

Since I have started eating real food, I have just gained weight. I have had one fill and even that didn't put me on the losing side.

I was so discouraged that I just opted for opti!!

I won't lash ya Jude....but in the long run I'm not sure that will help plus you may not be able to keep that up (not that you should!).

but you KNOW all this!!!!

:)

that is concerning. fluids and then ya gain weight aftre all of this,......??? no please , maybe its cuz your body got used to fluids and gaining since reintroduction to food but will sort itself out. Oh heres a question for those of you intheri forties will this be at a snails pace? And yoda ,I know nothing of the pc o but doen't that affect your weight, not sure how but if it does, why would banding help?

Nothing else helps much with PCOS people to lose weight....so banding is a last ditch effort. It seems to have worked with others who have PCOS.

:faint: :help:

Yesterday I got on the scales for the weekly weigh in on Cdn Lapbanders. I was up 1 lb.

Yesterday's Menu:

B: coffee with cream

L: 1/2 Tossed salad with 2 oz chicken breast

D: other half of tossed salad

1 opti-fast

Snacks: Water

Total Cals 705

Here is my summary from sparkpeople for calorie intake for the past week

NUTRIENTS: GOAL Calories: 1330 - 1680

1,037 753 969 770 390 626 705

This morning I am UP 2 lbs!!!!!!!!!! :faint: :faint: :faint: :faint: :faint: :faint: :faint: :faint:

What is up with this?

jude

What happens if you DO eat your 'goal' calories? Are you really not hungry enough to eat more than what you are eating? If so, man... I don't know.

Also, stop weighing everyday! I SOMEtimes do, but I never ever 'count' it. I weighed in at 243.4 on Wed, 242.6 yesterday, and today I was 244! SO... I'm sticking with my Wed weight, which is when I'm supposed to weigh in, and ignoring all the others. I gotta stop leaving my scale within eyesight!
