Saw this over the weekend... lots of protein- Claims great taste... curious...

The protein base is hydrolyzed collagen protein as the first ingredient. This form of protein is the cheapest, and least absorbed protein form on the market. I used them with my band only because the nut told me I could, I couldn't tolerate them with my sleeve. The collagen proteins are supposedly made from boiled cow hides. Not the best form of protein, and your body won't absorb the majority of it for recovery purposes.

ditto...that is what I was told too....avoid the collagen

What about protica? your input on this one would be appreciated.

I've been using these but Bullet Nutrition, they don't appear to have collagen, just casein and whey Protein isolate. I showed them to my NUT she said they were fine. I put half a package of crystal light and they taste like kool aid.

All of the shots are collagen, and the casein Proteins are mainly used as food additives. Whey isolate or soy Protein are the most readily assimilated and absorbed by the body for recovery post-op. Along with the proper amounts of amino acids need to make assimilation possible and readily available to the body for appropriate usage by our bodies.

The shots have "some" whey isolate in them, but it's not enough for you to be able to count it as a complete protein, plus main ingredient in most shots is just Water.
