First time--

Hi Everyone, this is my first time on the site as a registared user. I have been reading for months and have learned a lot going through the different topics. My surgery is scheduled for October 20th. The whole process getting to this point has been pretty seamless. Something strange happened to me yesterday. I have a very dear friend that I only am able to see every several months. In February of this year she started on a new diet. I saw her in March and could tell some difference. In June I saw her again and she looked great, she had lost about 60 lbs. I saw her again this weekend and she is down 91lbs. I have known her for 23 years and have never seen her this size. I was shocked, and I have to admit, I wasn't even sure she looked healthy. I'm really happy for her, but she looks older because of the thinness of her face. And it hit me, no one I know now has ever seen me thin - will I look unhealthy to others and will I suddenly look older? And in the long run it doesn't really matter I guess.

Well, I feel like my face looks older now that I am thinner, but I feel 1000 times healthier, so it really doesn't matter so much. Most people tell me I look younger, but the lines are definitely more pronounced than before. Some people tend to have a pallor when loosing weight. I think it is if you are loosing super fast. I've been glowing with good health. I suppose it just depends on the person.
