Does anyone know if it is acceptable to use your passport application, birth certificate & driver's license to return to the US. Dr. Aceves coordinator Nina said you don't have to wait for the passport, but that you can use the application along with the other id's. Did anyone else do it this way? I did some research on-line but haven't been able to confirm it yet. Guess I will try to call on Monday but was wondering if anyone else did it this way?

I had my passport but my husband didn't. Nina told me the same thing only I think she also said to have proof of payment for the passport. So I had all you listed along with proof of submission and proof of payment. Had no trouble at all getting back across the boarder.

Don't know when your surgery is but if you pay extra they will also RUSH the passport.

Yes, you will get back in the US without the passport. You just need the receipt showing that you paid for it and your DL. There were 2 people in our group that didn't have their passports yet and we got across just fine.

There were two in our group that had their driver's license and a certified copy of theri birth certificate, they had no issues. They did not even apply for their passport.
