Does anyone happen to know if I can use a striaght talk phone from Jesusalem Hospital and the recovery house? The phones website says straight talk uses Verizon towers, you may have some signal just over the border. Thanks, Holly

Call your cell phone provider. I actually changed my plan to include Mexico (I have Verizon) and when I got there my phone didnt get reception 80% of the time. I ended up using Skype (on my laptop) to call (not video calls) Verizon to fix my phone. It was frustrating. My laptop came in handy when I was in Mexico.

The recovery house has wifi and a landline you can use to call the states at no cost. If you plan on using your cell phone, change your plan to include Mexico, you can cange it back later. The cost without the Mexico plan are ridiculous. Your laptop with Skype, magic jack or any other VOIP works great.
