DO PCP EVEN KNOW ABOUT WLS?

I am back at work ( Sleeved July 26th) & people are asking me about WLS for themself or the wives. I talked to a wife last night & her BMI is 46. She like everyone here feels trapped in her body. It has affected her life, etc. She like myself had gone to doctors & only told to diet or "just eat right". NO one every said Weight Lose Surgery! Why is this?

I am angry now because we need help & there are a lot of people that are not getting the help they need. I told her think of WLS as fixing your body. It's no different than fixing a broken bone. But it's not being discussed most of the time.

When I got off the phone there were tears of hope. This fine young lady is going to get her life back.
