RNY vs. Lap Band

Hello My name is Rebecca from California. I have been researching the lap band vs. RNY. I have decided to go with the lap band surgery. I am currenty in the process & hoping to have this surgery within the next couple of months.

My insurance covers the RNY 100% with just a $10.00 copay,but doesnt cover the lap band. I have medical secondary with a $1015.00 share of cost.So I am going to pay out of my pocket,instead of using my insurance.RNY scares me,I feel so much peace going with the lap band. Im so glad I found this website so I can share & talk to other lapbanders about their experiences:cell:
