I have my initial consultation tomorrow what questions should I ask the surgeon? What should i expect? I am already 3 months into my 6 month diet. Has anyone used Dr.lidor at Johns Hopkins Bayview in Baltimore, MD?

Typically the initial consultation, they take a medical history and the surgeon discusses the options and which surgery you might want and why and then discuss what he/she feels is the best option for you. I also had my first appointment with the dietician at the same time - she covered some of the basics of the food plan and explained about taking vitamins for the rest of your life. I kind of got the impression they wanted to see if I would be committed to the new lifestyle.

I've only heard of Dr. Schwietzer at Johns Hopkins-most ppl have said he is straight forward, no nonsense with not the best bedside manners, but I guess he's really good. Have you researched the whole team there?
