So I went to my PCP today, because I"m sick as a dog ( Walking Pneumonia apparently) And while I was there, I figured, Well.. why not ask about that Letter of Medical Necessity...

She had it printed up and ready to sing in like 5 minutes flat LOL She told me that this was the best possible course of action given my weight and history and just handed it over and told me she would fax another copy to my Surgeons office.

I was kind of in shock....

I thought the same when I saw my PCP about a month ago- discussed it, saw the surgeon the next week and had my 1st of three Seminar sessions today...one fast track!

Same here. My experience was very easy. My previous PCP doctor always gave me a hard time when I brought up weight loss surgery, so I decided to change my doctor. My intentions was to find a doctor who agreed with weight loss surgery. The first time I met my new doctor, he walked in, looked at my chart and right out the bat said "have you ever considered weight loss surgery" Chachingggggggg Got my letter the second time I visited him.

But, I too worried like you did and it turned out very very well
