Mandi: why can't you guys move into the apartment that Lauren is getting? (or is it a smaller one?).

It is smaller (1bdrm), for the same price as we're paying now. We thought we'd be all for moving into the 'nicer' places when one comes up... BUT, evern though we have almost nothing to move, we just don't feel like doin' it again! This place is good. :)

I realllly like this one too....you are very very VERY pretty!!!

Ha! It's an optical illusion! But thank you guys

Thanks Yoda and Argon. I am feeling 100% better. Dr Mumford figured that my stomach swelled and that my band was way too tight. The first week the only thing I could tollerate was sips of Water. I had a lot of pain with it. Last Thursday was the first day I was pain free all day. He said that it was like a sprained ankle and that the only was to reduce the swelling was to give it a rest. Now that I can eat, I'm afraid to overeat.

Argon, I seem to remember you writting that until the first fill, that any weight loss is a bonus. Did any of you feel restriction before the first fill? I seem to be able to eat more and more as each day passes. Is this normal? And when is it reccommended to have the first fill, is it at 6 weeks? The one major symtom I have is often food seems to get stuck on the way down. Is this symptom considered a good thing, that the band is working?

My first day back at work was good, but very busy. No one does my work when I'm gone so I am playing catch up.

It's getting late and I am rambling. Better get to bed.

Good Night

Glad u are feeling better Wheezy.

Some folks feel restriction (various amounts) before their first fill (some don't even need a fill!) and others don't feel any restriction at all. I felt some restriction for about the first 4 weeks....the last 2 I was careful and did it by willpower alone (ie. before my first fill). But even after my first fill it was all by willpower (long story....they thought they put in 5ccs but in reality I had zero!!!).

I can't comment on what Dr. Mumford does, but TLBC gives the first fill after 6 weeks. The appt is even made for it the day of surgery.

If food is getting "stuck" sometimes on the way down, than you are experiencing restriction. This is good. To alleviate that feeling, eat slower, take smaller bites and chew chew chew and then chew some more!

Yes, you will be able to eat more and more until your first fill. The trick is to not give in to that. Look at it this way...you have been eating a lot less....so even though you now CAN eat more....try not to...try to keep up the smaller portions until you get the help you will get after your first fill! Easier said than done (believe me, I know!) but try!!!

Good luck....u r doin' great!

:D

Yes, Wheezy, I agree with Yoda. What your feeling is restriction. It may stay or it may go depending on if it is swelling causing it. Either way your doing GREAT!! I too cannot stress how important it is to eat slow and chew, chew, chew. Learn now or learn later(the hard way).:D

i still have a problem with small bites and chew .chew chew. i get the golfball feeling quite often. i don;t know why i haven;t learn;t to slow down lol.

Loreily: mebbe ur just a slow learner??!!! LOL just joshin'!!! Maybe you just have good restriction....it is actually good to have a signal like that if it works for ya!!!!

If u feel u have't eaten enough...if you wait a bit...does it go away and then are you able to eat a bit more?

I thought I had real good restriction until today. Today I could drive a Mack Truck down there. I don't get it. Hopefully tight tommorow!!

Haha Yoda .Yes sometimes i have to wait till it goes away 15-20 min .I had a grilled cheese on rye bread and i had a bad pain and slimed afterwards so i think i am done with bread.Cloe i am like that to.I am tight in morning then eat all night. Some days are worse .

Hi guys.

I had a thought today.... it's about 4 months til Christmas... and I *should* be going home for it. What do I want for xmas? I'm thinking:

TO MAKE IT TO 200lbs (or preferably 199) !!

I think I can do it.

It would mean ALMOST 2lbs a week, everyweek for the next 113-ish days. Uggg.... that's pretty risky to hope for.

That would make my TOTAL loss 84 lbs. I'd go for 75, but now that I've got the "200lb" idea burned in my mind... THAT'S what I want. I'm gonna do it. I'm gonna try for getting to 200lbs by Xmas!

Now that you've heard my whole internal struggle with this... go about your business! LOL

I just might have to make a ticker for this!

Hey guys!

I think I might work at the coolest place ever. I just got home from a big 'studio night out'. It was the 'awards ceremony' for this competition that Dan was in.... at a pool hall. A 'client' supplied a keg of beer, and my boss ran a tab for everyone. I don't know how much it ended up costing him, but imagine 30-ish people drinking as much, and whatever they wanted.... plus they ordered pizzas.

Anyways... Dan won. He got a 30GB iPod video, a leather studio jacket, and a trip to the Ottawa International Animation Festival next month. Pretty coooool!

So, yeah, I'm damn tired, and I have to work tomorrow... for at least half a day!
