Switching Doctor's

Today I told the office I was originally going to have surgery through, that I was not having my surgery with them. A series of events and giving several chances helped me make my decision. Has anyone switched doctor's/clinic/hospital..etc? If so, for what reason? I've heard so many wonderful stories, but I wasn't having any pleasant experiences with the 1st group. Even though I'm having to start over, I'm very happy I've switched..so far.

I switched because I never got comfortable with understanding the risks/concerns of band conversion from the first surgeon. He strongly encouraged the gastric bypass and I just wasn;t comfortable with that either. I came to realize eventually that he was very experienced with the bypass and not so much with the sleeve. I did the nutrition assessment, phych assessment and even had 2 meetings with the doc - I really liked him, but decided to switch to someone who had done alot of band to sleeve conversions

I just put a reply to someone else with basically the same question. I had my approval, 2 wks from surgery and switched. Here is my post.
