Dr C - Gum?

Is chewing gum OK or not? I don't recall instructions one way or another. Some have been told it could 1) cause increased gas and 2) if swallowed obstruct the stoma. What are your thoughts?

    I think it's fine if you don't swallow it and it's sugar-free. If you do swallow it, you might have the PB of your life (I'm talking .45 caliber projectile weapon!)
