Bandster Hell- I can't take it!!!

I have been banded 7 weeks today. At my 4 week post-op check, my surgeon didn't want to do a fill since I was losing so well (26 pounds.) Since then, I have less and less restriction and more and more hunger and I have lost 3 pounds and now gained four!!! I need a fill so badly!!

So what's the problem? The nurse practitioner is the one who does fills and she is out this week. I can't get another day off until July 14th and then I have to hope she will fit me in. (I won't even get a call to be scheduled until she is back in town next week!)

Help!! I feel like I am getting fatter by the second! :help:

Congrats on the 26 pounds! That is SUPER!

That being said... you know this could take between 4-6 months to get restriction right? Many get it earlier, but you could be playing with loss, gain, loss for quite awhile.

Maybe you didn't need a fill at 4 weeks, but you need one now. I hope you and your fill contact are able to get together soon. Be a nuisance... maybe? Be the squeaky wheel and it may get you on the schedule even before she makes it back into town.

Much luck!

Brenda

Hang in there till you get your fill. Be sure to eat Hard protiens first, as many ounces as needed to keep hunger at bay (4-6?) then loads of veggies. Only the best foods! If you are giving your body the proper nutrition, not lots of carbs and sugars, it will help keep your weight in check till you get filled. It's sooooo much easier to "eat to lose" when you are properly filled, but until then, choose wisely and drink your water! Good luck!
