going in for pre-op 1/5/2011

And Im quite a bit scared...Im new here...HI, My name is Julie, 29 years old from Oregon. I decided to get the sleeve, and going in for my pre-op 1/5/2011...my insurance covers nothing, so I am paying out of pocket, but I think its worth it. I have a few questions...is/did anyone else have issues with wondering what they would look like? I have been overweight most of my life (with the exception of being REALLY skinny when I was really little) due to medical issues/thryroid/blah blah blah. I keep thinking that I am going to look "weird" or not like myself. Also, does anyone here regret the decision to do the surgery? Did you guys tell your friends/employers/co-workers? Im a little embarassed about it right now, but think after I have it done I will probably feel more comfortable about telling people.

anyway, thanks for your advise/support!

Don't worry I am sure you will look smoking hot. I have been fat and then skinny many times and I must say the skinny me is super hot and the fat me is barely passable. You are doing a wonderful thing for yourself so move forward with all the excitment you can find, and never look back. Just think of all the great clothing you can wear when you reach your goal weight. I know for me I'll have to sell a kidney to afford that new wardrobe I'm going to need.
