Member Since 7/27. I'm Back!

Since 1/2010. I have lost a total of 100 lbs. Somehow lost regular correspondence with this group. There is so little out there for Sleevers, that I am glad to re-discover this group.

Do you get swept in to GBS and Lap patient groups, without a focus on the Sleeve? I am tired of being a "second class" bariatric citizen. I don't get why some Drs pussh the sleeve but other, competent and experienced, do not. I have taken onmy hospital, a Center of Excellence, state of the art facility, except for lack of Sleeve support. Do others find a similar experience?

TOTALLY!!!!

At my drs. they lump the RNY's with the VSG's and there are so many differences!! It is annoying but I think the tide is changing...

CONGRATS on having lost 100!!!

Congrats and welcome back!

Hi Ricky welcome back! This is by far the BEST website for the VSG. No doubt! Other websites that have other surgeries mentioned - there won't be a lot of responses and most of them are from lap banders or RnYers who, no offense but really don't have any idea of the sleevers daily ins and outs.

I really never see anyone with actual support groups that meet that only talk about VSG. Usually the majority is RnY and Band.

I hope you stick around! CONGRATS ON THE WEIGHT LOSS!

:)
