cheating on pre-opt diet

I was thinking of cheating and having a piece of Tilapia grilled tonight. I just want to eat something that looks like food. Will this increase my liver size?

I don't think the pre-op diet actually shrinks the liver - I think it just makes it less fatty and easier to handle by the surgeon.

I've done a liquid diet before it's hard and I really sympathize - but hang in there - You are worth it x

Hi there. I have to do a 3 week pre-op milk based diet starting from mid November.

When I met with my surgeon, I asked him if it would ruin things if I cracked under the strain ( LOL ! ) and had the occasional bit of fish or chicken with it. He said he had no problems with me having some lean protien now and again. THANK GOODNESS !!! I think he sees it as being better than sabotaging it altogether and stuffing in any old rubbish.

Hope this helps

Best wishes Angela.
