Surgery Pending

Hi all,

I just joined this forum today. My surgery is scheduled for July 25. I am very nervous and I need to know if there is anyone out there that has had complications. I have only read and heard positives about the surgery.

Yesterday, I had to meet with the nutritionist. She spoke about the foods that I will probably never tolerate. Pasta and white meat chicken are the two things that I love. Will I be able to tolerate this at one point after surgery? Help! I need more information.

Thanks.

Welcome. There is a forum here on complications that you might want to read through that will help answer your questions. As for the chicken and pasta, I have no problem with either of them. In fact, there are no foods that I have found to cause me any difficulty.

Hi Em, Welcome to lapband and congradulations on getting your surgery.:clap2: I am almost seven weeks out and had no complications with surgery.

I eat white chicken, fish. ground beef and pork loin and ribs so far and a couple of bites of good steak. Everyone is different. I stay away from pastas and bread and rice to help me loose better and no sweets at all.

The band is to help you and to let you learn how to eat healthy. Not to say I will never have any sweets but I just choose not to right now.The best of luck to you.
