VSGP and Athem Blue Cross

I am scheduled for a VSGP on 9/15 (just a few days away) and I am still waiting to hear from my insurance company to see if they are going to allow that specific surgery. They will cover a bypass or band but I really want the plication procedure. Anyone have any experience with Anthem Blue Cross covering or not covering your procedure?? Any info would be appreciated.

    I just spoke with my doctor here in Calif and he stated that Anthem BC does not cover it.

    He did state that BC will cover band, bypass and now the VSG (the sleeve).
