Pilots that have had VSG?

I am a corporate pilot who has been considering VSG for some time now but am nervous as to whether the FAA will have a fit about it or not. I have read many conflicting things on the internet and cant get a clear answer from the FAA either. I am wondering if there are any other pilots out there that have had this surgery and how their medical certification went with the feds following surgery. Anyone???

I don't know why it would be an issue, but on the VSG forum at ThinnerTimes - Gastric Bypass Forum, Lap Band Forum, and Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy Forum there's a pilot... can't remember his name but you'll find him eventually! :thumbup1:

I think you should talk to a guy called Jaffa Steve.

I think he is banded and is getting a revision. I am sure he said he was a pilot. Why not PM him.
