hiatal hernia post VSG?

I have developed a hiatal hernia, thought I had some food stuck was pretty scared. Went to the Ed after the most awful tests was Dx w/a hiatal hernia. I did not have this prior to my revision. Has this happened to anyone else? I am going to send an e-mail to Dr. Aceves. Going to see my PCP when I can get an apppointment. Just what I need another surgery!:thumbup1:

Dee so sorry...I had a hiatal hernia diagnosis pre surgery during the required pre-op upper endoscopy. My surgeon said he repaired it while doing the sleeve surgery. I recently went to a gastroenterologist re some issues I'm having...I asked him if the hiatal hernia can recur after it's repaired and he said that it can. I will be having another upper endo sched. in July. Keep us updated on Dr. Aceves feedback. I hope you get to speak with him directly.
