Post-Op Question

I'm sure this isn't the first time someone has asked, but how soon after surgery can I be sexually intimate with my husband? It's one of the few things I didn't think to ask until after I left the doctor's office for my pre-op. Thanks!

There was a thread out there on the main boards somewhere, but I cant find it. I think the jist of it was, two weeks or after your incisions healed and you felt like it.

I had to get info on that one too. ;)

I'm sure the docs don't want us popping stitches, staples, glue, or whatever is keeping us closed up. I guess I'm gonna have to get busy this weekend! :becky:

I think you should call the dr's office and ask, or atleast you can ask on monday. Feeling Frisky. Just be careful of your back. Just kidding...

Well I can tell you I had sex the noght before and it was great. I did ask my doctor because I have a hornball hubby and he said about 1 week and then you can do it if you feel up to it.. I could not hold on my hubby so when the week was up in the sack we went... But just because you cant have sex doesnt mean foreplay is out of the question

You are all wonderful and funny! I love it!

Having just had spinal injections for a pinched nerve & arthritis, my DH is afraid of hurting me. He's sweet, & I'm horny! :nervous

I'll ask before surgery on Monday! Thanks All!

Boy I wish I had the desire to even want to ask this question...You go girls...last time I lost this much weight I was a nimpho...this time, eh....But I remember hearing 2 weeks or when ever I felt up to it...hehe...I still don't feel up to it....But I didn't before my band either.

Go for it Karen!!

You all are cracking me up! I know that I didn't ask that question, but probably on purpose so that I could legitimately say "I'm not sure it's O.K. to do it yet" when I just plain ole didn't want to!:biggrin1: Seriously though, I do think it was in my packet of information that they gave me. I'll try to go find it for you.

GET R DONE!!!!! Woo Hoo, take one for the team Karen! I mean I haven't had sex in like 8 weeks now and in my prime and freakin ready to go. So please please please have a ball with it!!! <no pund intended> ;)
